I've just met with the 2011 movie version of Jane Eyre. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1229822/ I'm not a great fun of the story (not a bit) but this film... It's full of screens resembling 19th century  (20th sometimes) paintings. Some of them are really beautiful. The director was Cary Joji Fukunaga and the director of photography Adriano Goldman. I do not know who else contributed to these paintings-like screens but you can check the crew here: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1229822/fullcredits/?ref_=tt_ov_st_sm

Loving Vincent

0 min read
If you ever get the chance to watch the movie 'Loving Vincent', do watch! It's an animation movie painted  in the style of van Gogh. The story is a kind of crime story about Vincent's death (a reinvestigation) but the really exciting thing is watching van Gogh's painting moving on the screen, talking to each other... Cool!

I've just seen a film on Hokusai and I'm simply envious. :) Not only he's invented manga (sort of) two hundred years ago. But he was a great pop-artists, as well. In the film they tell the story about an artist competition in front of the shogun. Hokusai 's just painted a wide blue line and let a cock walk on it with legs painted red before. He called the artwork: Red Maple Leaves Floating on the Tatsuta River.  Even if it's not happened at all, the story tells a lot about what others thought about Hokusai. :) Anyway, the story reminds me of Andy Warhol. I hope in the next 90 years I'll be able to draw on him. :)
